Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection platforms
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate cross-functional security drills
- Analyze malware samples and threat intelligence to enhance defense mechanisms
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, SANS)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
