Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct incident investigations, document findings, and implement remediation protocols
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with NIST frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement robust security controls across cloud and hybrid environments
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and regulatory compliance
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or cybersecurity analysis
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation platforms
- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for security automation
- Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills
