Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct forensic investigations of cyber threats using tools like Wireshark and EnCase
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts for threat detection
- Perform vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Qualys scanners
- Collaborate with incident response teams during security breaches
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay updated on emerging threats via MITRE ATT&CK framework research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP or CEH certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 operational environment
