Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and respond to potential security incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Analyze network traffic and logs to detect anomalous activities and potential breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic investigation tools
- Excellent communication skills for documenting incidents and collaborating with cross-functional teams
