Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and document forensic evidence
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch management
- Generate comprehensive security reports for leadership and regulatory compliance
- Develop playbooks for incident response procedures and threat hunting strategies
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or threat detection roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Expertise in SIEM tools, network security, and incident response protocols
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
