Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop mitigation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and countermeasures through continuous research and training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with experience in log analysis and threat intelligence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and prioritize critical incidents
