Responsibilities
- Monitor security events and alerts within the SIEM (Splunk/QRadar) to identify potential breaches.
- Conduct detailed incident response investigations and root cause analysis.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Manage firewall policies, VPN configurations, and network segmentation.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and runbooks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a cybersecurity role (SOC Analyst, Security Engineer).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
