Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and incident triage
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches using FTK and EnCase
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for NIST CSF compliance
- Collaborate with network teams to implement zero-trust architectures
- Generate executive-level threat intelligence briefings quarterly
- Lead tabletop exercises for ransomware response scenarios
- Manage vulnerability remediation using Nessus and Qualys
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity or IT-related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification
- Proficiency in Python for security automation
- Experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework implementation
- DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
