Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across networks
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist with compliance frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and security protocols
- Strong knowledge of network architecture and threat detection methodologies
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
