Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and anomalies.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and perform periodic security audits to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware analysis, root cause analysis, and incident response coordination.
- Implement and maintain robust security controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Collaborate with IT, development, and engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Prepare detailed security reports and presentations for executive stakeholders and compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and log analysis is highly preferred.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC) are a significant plus.
