Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and analysis
- Investigate security alerts, conduct forensic analysis, and document incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and patch management
- Perform risk assessments and compliance audits for regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, NERC CIP)
- Develop playbooks for incident response procedures and threat intelligence integration
- Conduct security awareness training for employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations center (SOC) or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Experience with network forensics tools (Wireshark, FTK)
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IAM best practices
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize under pressure
- Excellent written communication for reporting and documentation
