Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and analyze potential threats
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement remediation measures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar)
- Certifications in Security+, CISSP, or CEH preferred
- Experience with network security protocols and firewalls
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during security incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
