Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and EDR solutions to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and document findings with detailed technical reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps
- Develop incident response playbooks and coordinate cross-functional breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS regulatory frameworks
- Provide security awareness training to employees and create phishing simulation campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM implementation and threat hunting
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and Microsoft Sentinel
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future) and MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
