Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden network infrastructure and configure security tools
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and compliance teams
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Expertise in network security principles, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance regulations
- Professional certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
