Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain complex server environments, including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) for scalability and performance.
- Implement and enforce robust security protocols and disaster recovery plans to protect sensitive data.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for network issues, hardware failures, and software conflicts.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve system workflows.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior system administrators and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration within a Windows Server environment.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CCNP are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
