Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructures including cloud (AWS/Azure), on-premise servers, and hybrid environments
- Proactively monitor system health, resolve critical incidents, and optimize performance across 500+ endpoints
- Lead security initiatives including vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance audits
- Automate operational workflows using scripting (Python/PowerShell) and configuration management tools
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise backup/recovery systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Document procedures and provide technical guidance to junior IT staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with proven expertise in Windows Server and Linux environments
- Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or Microsoft Azure preferred
- Strong scripting abilities (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and experience with Ansible/Terraform
- Deep understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs)
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault) and disaster recovery planning
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex multi-layered issues
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
