Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations of on-premise and cloud-based servers (AWS/Azure) to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular system patches, updates, and security audits to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Network Administration: Configure firewalls, VPNs, and switches to maintain secure network protocols.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain Bash/PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
- Disaster Recovery: Lead and execute disaster recovery plans and data backup strategies to mitigate risks.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues across the organization.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior system administrators and conduct technical training sessions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Active Directory, and Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
