Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain complex network and server infrastructures, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Cloud Solutions: Leverage AWS or Azure to migrate workloads, manage virtual machines, and configure cloud storage solutions.
- Security & Compliance: Implement robust security protocols, manage firewalls, and conduct regular vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues with minimal downtime for business operations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and runbooks.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of new applications and services.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in both Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
- Networking: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.
- Scripting: Ability to write and debug scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to system maintenance and incident response.
