Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure platforms
- Implement and monitor robust cybersecurity frameworks including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architecture
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute quarterly failover testing
- Optimize network performance through VLAN segmentation and QoS policies
- Document infrastructure changes using Confluence and maintain CMDB accuracy
- Mentor junior sysadmins while ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering enterprise-level Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) with hands-on experience in EC2, S3, and Azure AD
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS SysOps, or Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Advanced scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation and monitoring
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking and DNS/DHCP/LDAP protocols
- Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi/Hyper-V) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Proven track record of reducing system downtime by 40% through proactive monitoring
