Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios and Splunk to prevent outages
- Manage enterprise storage solutions (NetApp) and backup/recovery systems (Veeam)
- Lead security initiatives including vulnerability patching, firewall management, and compliance audits
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell/Python and develop CI/CD pipelines
- Provide Tier 3 support and mentor junior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field + 5+ years' experience
- Expert-level certifications: MCSE, RHCE, or AWS Solutions Architect
- Deep knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven experience with enterprise networking (Cisco/Juniper) and security protocols
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Experience with ITIL processes and change management
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation
