The Role:
You will be the cornerstone of our IT operations, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all systems. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise in both legacy and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers, virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud resources (AWS/Azure).
- Design and implement robust network architecture, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
- Automate routine tasks and deployments using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Ensure data integrity through scheduled backups and comprehensive disaster recovery planning.
- Monitor system health and security to prevent breaches, applying patches and updates as required.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior IT staff.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI model).
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required.
