Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain on-premise servers and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues with minimal downtime for end-users.
- Security Implementation: Enforce security policies, manage firewalls, and conduct regular vulnerability assessments to protect company data.
- Automation & Scripts: Develop and maintain shell scripts and automation tools to streamline IT operations and reduce manual errors.
- Backup & Recovery: Implement and monitor data backup strategies to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers and other departments to support application deployments and infrastructure changes.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or similar IT role.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Networking: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing protocols.
- Tools: Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
