Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and support of Windows Server and Linux infrastructure.
- Design and implement scalable cloud solutions using Azure and AWS services.
- Manage Active Directory, user security, and group policy administration.
- Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery planning, and patch management.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Bash scripting to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex network issues and application deployment problems.
- Monitor system performance and health, proactively identifying potential failures before they impact users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in System Administration, with a strong preference for hybrid cloud environments.
- Expert knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Azure Administrator, or AWS Solutions Architect are a significant plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for system automation.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and hardware troubleshooting.
