Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for web, mobile, and network applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security controls.
- Lead incident response efforts during security breaches, coordinating with legal and executive teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2.
- Develop and execute security awareness training programs for employees.
- Perform threat hunting and forensic analysis to uncover hidden threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or penetration testing.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ required.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
