Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, malware outbreaks, and data exfiltration.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden system configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active security certification (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or Security+) preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, network protocols, and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
