Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before attackers do.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal business disruption and compliance with incident response protocols.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPN gateways.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into software development and IT operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, SOC operations, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CISM, or CEH are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms, log analysis, and threat hunting methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, encryption standards, and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings for executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
