Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure system integrity.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents and breaches according to established incident response protocols.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the Software Development Lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and industry trends to proactively enhance our security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Experience with risk management frameworks and security compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
