Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Design, implement, and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Lead incident response teams during cybersecurity breaches to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards.
- Develop and automate security scripts using Python or Bash to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is highly required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, SOC analysis, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud security frameworks (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a major plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
