Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Design and deploy firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
- Lead the incident response team during security breaches and perform forensic analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Produce detailed security reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proven experience with IDS/IPS, DLP, and secure authentication mechanisms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to executive leadership.
