Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk and LogRhythm.
- Conduct 24/7 threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to strengthen our defense posture.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, malware, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Manage and configure next-generation firewalls and network segmentation.
- Collaborate with IT and software engineering teams to implement secure coding practices.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security metrics for executive stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or GIAC GCIH is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC or Security Operations Center environment.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight, or QRadar).
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, OSI Model, and common attack vectors (Phishing, Ransomware, APT).
- Experience with FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, or CrowdStrike is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
