Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across the network using SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses before they are exploited.
- Implement and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption protocols.
- Investigate and remediate security breaches, providing detailed incident reports and root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation to meet industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure application architecture and cloud environments.
- Stay current on emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to recommend proactive security improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and threat intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container security (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to critical security incidents outside of standard business hours.
