Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM environment (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel).
- Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify potential vulnerabilities before they are exploited.
- Manage and oversee vulnerability management programs, including penetration testing coordination and remediation tracking.
- Enforce security policies and standards across the organization, ensuring alignment with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with IT teams and external stakeholders during security breaches.
- Provide security guidance and training to non-technical staff to foster a culture of security awareness.
- Perform regular audits and compliance assessments (HIPAA, PCI-DSS) to maintain accreditation standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Valid certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of security concepts, including threat intelligence, malware analysis, and incident response procedures.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows and Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
