Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and intrusion detection systems (IDS) for potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct log analysis and investigate suspicious network activity to identify vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of corporate security policies and compliance frameworks.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts.
- Respond to security incidents and assist in the development of incident response procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure secure configuration of servers, firewalls, and endpoints.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting security findings.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
