CyberShield Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite Security Operations Center (SOC). In this role, you will be the first line of defense, monitoring and responding to cyber threats that target our clients' networks when the office is quiet.
This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to work a structured Weekend Shift (Friday-Monday 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) in Columbus, Ohio. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our security posture and ensuring business continuity.

Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) for real-time alerts and anomalies during the weekend shift.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks before they are exploited.
- Lead the triage, analysis, and response to security incidents, including malware analysis and unauthorized access attempts.
- Collaborate with the L1 security team and external incident response partners to contain and remediate threats.
- Generate and maintain detailed incident reports and security dashboards for executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards (NIST, ISO).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCFA.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Proven experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, LogRhythm, or similar) and firewall management.
- Must be available to work a structured weekend schedule (Friday through Monday).
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and written communication abilities.
