Responsibilities
- Monitor 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) for security alerts, anomalies, and suspicious activities.
- Conduct thorough analysis of security logs and SIEM data to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Execute incident response procedures to contain and neutralize security breaches effectively.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems to enforce network security policies.
- Generate detailed security reports and incident documentation for management review.
- Collaborate with internal teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve security protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working in a 24/7 SOC environment or handling weekend shifts.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint protection platforms.
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks, incident response lifecycle, and threat hunting methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during security incidents.
- Must be willing to work rotational weekend schedules (e.g., Friday-Sunday).
