Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within the SIEM environment in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in systems and networks.
- Enforce and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Perform regular security audits and log reviews to ensure integrity and availability of systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement robust security architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
