Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and coordinate remediation
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Conduct security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to prioritize threats and work under pressure during incidents
