Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Conduct thorough penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to proactively secure systems.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and incident containment.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and other security appliances.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident reports and compliance policies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure implementation of new applications and infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation and forensics.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
