Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux server environments (Active Directory, VMware, Azure)
- Implement and monitor network security protocols (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection)
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues with minimal downtime
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell/Python/Bash scripting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud migration projects
- Document IT processes and maintain compliance with SOC2 standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Windows Server 2019+ and Linux (RHEL/CentOS)
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid architectures
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or VMware VCP preferred
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault)
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver urgent system recoveries
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
