What You'll Do
As a Senior Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPN infrastructure.
- Develop and implement incident response plans to mitigate cyber attacks effectively.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Provide security awareness training to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or threat hunting.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security.
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation and security tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
