Role Overview
As a Part-Time Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring network traffic, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to potential security incidents. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our client data.

- Monitor network traffic and system logs in real-time to identify suspicious activity and potential intrusions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal systems and web applications.
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with the incident response team to mitigate threats quickly.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
- Perform regular security audits and compliance checks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to non-technical staff members.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds) and log analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
