Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events via SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) during 24/7 night shift operations.
- Conduct real-time threat hunting and rapid incident response to mitigate active cyber threats.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Document incident reports and maintain accurate logs of security activities and resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to patch vulnerabilities and strengthen security protocols.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and NIST standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a SOC, Security Operations Center, or Information Security role.
- Proven experience working in rotating night shift environments with high alertness.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently during off-hours.
