Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure server environments (Linux/Windows) supporting 500+ users
- Proactively monitor and optimize network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Nagios
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restoration procedures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) automation
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations
- Document IT infrastructure and create detailed SOPs for compliance
- Provide Tier-3 support and mentor junior IT staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration
- Expert proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments
- Strong scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell)
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or equivalent) required
- Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and infrastructure-as-code
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with network protocols and security best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
