Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Investigate and remediate security incidents within SLA requirements
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with SOC teams to implement proactive threat hunting strategies
- Conduct security awareness training for enterprise stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC environments
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (required), GSEC preferred
- Expertise in SIEM correlation rules, threat intelligence, and IDS/IPS
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize high-severity incidents
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Ability to work under pressure during critical security events
