Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop mitigation strategies
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation tools
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security architecture
- Experience with threat intelligence feeds and vulnerability management tools
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize incidents under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
