Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level security frameworks to protect cloud/on-premises infrastructure
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and vulnerability assessments using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Lead incident response for cyber attacks including ransomware, APTs, and zero-day exploits
- Develop security automation using Python and orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500
- Mentor junior security analysts and document security procedures
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in cybersecurity with 2+ years in NYC tech sector
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or OSCP required; CEH, CCSP preferred
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
- Experience with penetration testing and ethical hacking methodologies
- Proficiency in security automation and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Demonstrated success in incident response and threat remediation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
