Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop incident response plans and execute breach mitigation
- Implement and maintain firewall/IPS configurations
- Perform security audits and compliance checks (NIST, HIPAA)
- Document security procedures and create technical reports
- Collaborate with IT teams on security infrastructure improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with incident response focus
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and encryption protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, CrowdStrike)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
