Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response coordination
- Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports for executive stakeholders
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Implement security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture improvements
- Document security incidents and remediation procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on SOC analyst or incident response experience
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint security
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
