Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident response investigations, including threat hunting and digital forensics
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, runbooks, procedures)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediate vulnerabilities
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Generate executive-level security reports and metrics for stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of threat intelligence frameworks and threat hunting techniques
- Experience with forensic tools (EnCase, FTK, Wireshark)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation and reporting
