Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Conduct forensic analysis on security incidents and coordinate incident response activities
- Develop and implement security monitoring dashboards and reporting mechanisms
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security controls and compliance frameworks
- Document security procedures, incident reports, and remediation actions
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR)
- Ability to work independently under pressure during security incidents
